Thermometer Float

I got this idea from J. J. Jackson, the president of my local brew club, the Gold Country Brewers Association.

Basicly, you just drill a whole in a wine cork to accept the stem from your thermometer. Shaving 1/4" off of one side of the cork will lower the center of gravity and cause the dial to float more upright. Just plop it in the mash tun or hot liquor tank - no more burnt fingers and it allows hands free operation!
