Steep: | Throw grains into steeping bag(s) and toss into the brew pot with 2 gallons of water. Bring water to 160-170°. Hold for 15-20 minutes. | |||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.174 | 2 gallons | |||||
6 lb. 6 oz. Light malt extract 2 lb. Brown sugar |

if you like a little extra head, add a cup of malt dextrin. It doesn't seem to effect flavor. | ||||||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Cluster (7% AA, 60 min.) .5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.) |

Yeast: | use any good quailty stout yeast | |||||||
Log: | I'll be making this sometime this week. Cool the wert rapidly to 100 degrees before transfering to fermenter. Then add rest of water, take OG reading, add yeast, and the rest is history. | |||||||
Carbonation: | 2.0 volumes | Dried Malt Extract: 5.40 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F |
