Singularity Stout

This stuff rocks. If you like it dark and rich, this is the stuff. It makes guinness look like a pale pilsner. It is best if left in the bottles for at least 6 months

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
366 HCU
Bitterness: 133 IBU
OG: 1.104 FG: 1.022
Alcohol: 10.5% v/v (8.3% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. British Munich
2 lb. British crystal 70-80L
1 lb. British chocolate
1 lb. British black patent
.75 lb. Roasted barley
Steep: Steep in 2 gallons 160° water for at least 30 min. Then sparge with 1 gallon 160° water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.173 3 gallons
6.6 lb. Dark malt extract
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 lb. Brown sugar
Hops: 6.5 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 45 min.)
.75 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1084- Irish ale
Log: Fermented for 2 weeks in the primary at ~70° . Followed by 3.5 weeks in the secondary at 65° . Should sit in bottles for at least 6 months but will get even better if left for longer.
Tasting: I have had some of the biggest beer snobs I know taste this stuff and have yet to here a bad comment except possibly some aroma hops. Good luck.
