Hawks' Hefeweizen

*First brewed this version of my hefeweizen while watching Chicago Blackhawks win game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. A brew made for celebration and merriment.

Log: Brewed: 06-09-2010, while Patrick Kane knocked in an overtime goal to lift the Blackhawks 4-3 over the Flyers in game 6, to win the Stanley Cup finals four games to two.
Racked: 06-16-2010
Bottled: 06-23-2010
Tasting: Delicious summertime ale brewed in the traditional German hefeweizen style, using a premium hefeweizen yeast strain. As a result, the nose features both banana and clove esters. The two varieties of wheat malt in combination with Vienna, Munich and 2-row malts yield a well-balanced and easy drinking body. The appearance is a medium golden unfiltered cloudiness appropriate for the style with white head.
