Cavan Swamp Ale
I tried to get that toasted malt flavour. I usually toast 2-row pale malt in the oven. This tastes better.

Infusion Mashing System. I use a William's Mash Jacket around a bucket. Water is heated to 170 degrees with a hot water element in a bucket. | ||||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.046 | 27 liters | |||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.) .50 oz. Cascade (4.5% AA, 30 min.) |

Yeast: | Coopers dry yeast. It is always rehydrated. I used liquid yeast once and really saw no major improvement to the beer. | |||||||
Tasting: | Nice red hue to it. Toasty, malt flavour is evident. I would like to use more victory malt, but was told no to. |
