My first attempt at extract brewing.Got recipie from a friend.His brew tasted great. Here goes

Beer: ODDS ON FAVE Style: English Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
16 HCU (~10 SRM)
Bitterness: 24 IBU
OG: 1.050 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.9% w/w)
Water: Good ol tap water
Grain: 12 oz. British crystal 50-60L
6 oz. Flaked barley
Steep: Add grains to cold water.Raise temp to 65 degrees C. Steep for 45 mins
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.125 2 gallons
6 lb. 6 oz. Light malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: Gervin English Ale yeast.Started 20 mins. before pitching
