OG: 1.055 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. British crystal 50-60L
Steep: Add grain to 1 1/2 gallons of cold water and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and remove grain.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.182 1.5 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
Add LME and return to heat. Bring to a boil. Add 1/2 oz of hops at 45 minutes remaining on the boil. Add 1 oz at 30 minutes and 1/2 oz at 15 minutes. Run the hot wort over the 1/2 oz of aroma hops into the fermenter. Add cold water to make 5 gallons.
Hops: .5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
1.0 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast British Ale.
Log: Fermenting at 70F.
