Partial Pale Ale
This is my first partial mash. I decided to
stick to a style that I know well and could survive
a little variability in my extraction efficiency.

Yeast: | 2 pkgs of Coopers ale yeast, re-hydrated in 150ml of 80F brewing water. Yeast pitched into primary at 70F. |
|||||||
Log: | Fuggles hop plugs were used, which was an experiment for me. (I usually use pellets.) Lots of problems with clogs in the racking tube. I ended up (gently) pouring 1/3 of the boil through a collander. Cooled to 70F with pot immersed in kitchen sink (took 1 hour). |
