Bodacious Ale

The name for this ale was insisted upon by a friend of mine. I think of it however as a more Northwest style ale.

Brewer: Dean Salvadore Email: deansalv@home.com
Beer: Bodacious Ale Style: English Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
9 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 86 IBU
OG: 1.063 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: I boiled all my water before using it.
Grain: 3 lb. 0 oz. American 2-row
Steep: Steeped the 2-row malt at 155 to 160 for 60 minutes.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.063 5 gallons
6 lb. 0 oz. Light dry malt extract
Added a bunch of Iris Moss to help clarify it.
Hops: 2 oz. Bullion (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
2 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs British Ale
Log: The Cascade hops were thrown in after the boil. I let them steep in the wort for about 15 minutes before I removed all the hops and chilled the wort down. I then sparged through the collection of wet hops.
Tasting: Tastes very light with a aromatic after taste of biterness. Sort of like an IPA.
