Winter solstice ale

Brew started Feb 4, 2006. As a wild experiment added 4 pounds of corn sugar to boil, don't do this yourself. It produced some off tastes I think.

Color:
18 HCU (~11 SRM)
Bitterness: 17 IBU
OG: 1.089 FG: 1.022
Alcohol: 8.6% v/v (6.8% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 10L
2 lb. American 2-row
Steep: Grains were rinsed several times with boiling water.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.195 2.5 gallons
2.8kg Amber malt extract
0.45kg Belgian candi sugar
1.8kg Corn sugar
Hops: 1 oz. Yakima Magnum (15.5% AA, 90 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: English Ale (1098) AND Belgian Strong Ale (Wyeast 3787)
Carbonation: I'm hoping the remaining sugar (1.022 FG) will still ferment a bit. I forgot to add any sugar...
Tasting: Definitely some off tastes.
