Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Grain: .75 lb. American Munich
1 lb. American crystal 20L
3 oz. American chocolate
6 oz. American black patent
Steep: Add grains to 2.25 qts of 168 deg water.
Steep at 155 deg for 45 min.
Rinse with 2 gal of 165 deg water.
Add extract and honey
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.105 3 gallons
6.6 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. Honey
Use Honey from the White House for authentic results.
Hops: .5 oz. Bittering (10.0% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Bittering (10.0% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer (aroma)
Yeast: 1 pkg Nottingham dry yeast
Log: Ferment 3-4 days at 64 to 68 deg.
Rack to glass secondary for 4-7 dyas.
Carbonation: Prime with 3/4 cup of corn sugar (in 1 cup water).
Condition for 1 to 2 weeks at 75 deg.
