Bitterness: 56 IBU
OG: 1.079 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 8.3% v/v (6.5% w/w)
Grain: .5 lb. American crystal 90L
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
.75 lb. American chocolate
.5 lb. British black patent
Steep: In a grain bag, remove before boiling.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.132 3 gallons
10 lb. Amber malt extract
1/2 tsp irish moss.
Hops: 1.5 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Eroica (12% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1098, with a 1 gallon starter.
Tasting: Slightly sweet and citrusy. A great sipping beer.
