Chocolate Porter
This is dark brown porter thats simple to make and has a nice malty flavor with chocolate undertones.

Water: | tap water put in the mash tun and sparge tank the night before with tablespoon calcuim carbornate in mash tun to raise PH level | |||||||
Grain: | 10 lb. American 2-row 1 lb. British crystal 70-80L .5 lb. American chocolate .5 lb. American black patent .25 lb. Roasted barley |

Mash: | 65% efficiency | |||||||
Mash at 155°F for 1 hour, rinse at same temp | ||||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.048 | 6 gallons | |||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.) 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.) |

Yeast: | Wyeast Irish Ale (not sure the number was too drunk) | |||||||
Log: | I let it hang out in primary 7-10 days then transfer to corny keg for another week then throw in frig to chill and clear up beer. Force carbinate in keg during that time. Serve at about 10psi. Yummy!! | |||||||

Tasting: | I've made this beer about 7 times or so and it always turns out soooo good. If your more of a hophead then me you could add more hops I guess or a variety with a higher Alpha acid |
