Primo Porter
This beer is in the style of Sierra Nevada Porter - and I
think I managed to hit the nail square on the head with this one.
It's got a lovely chocolate malt nose and a wonderfully rich
and chewy flavor that keeps you asking for more... I think the
small amount of black patent gives it that extra "richness".

Tasting: | In addition to the notes above, the beer came out a deep garnet color when held in front of a bright light - ala Terry Foster in his book "Porter". Bitterness is right on - the Galena bittering hops remaining unobtrusive but giving the proper balance to the malt. If you can't tell aready, I really like the way this one came out! ;-) |
