A very tasty Porter!!! wanted something with a little meat & potatoes to it...very dark color, exceptional maltiness with slight hoppy finish

Steep: | added grains to grain bag to cold water and heated until temp rose to 150-160 degrees and let sit @ that temp for about 15min. | |||||||
Boil: | 45 minutes | SG 1.107 | 2.5 gallons | |||||

Log: | fermented @68-72 degrees in primary (plastic jug) for 7 days, then transferred to seconadry (glass jug) for another week or so....kegged whole batch and force carbonated @ 25psi for 24hr, then bleeded it down to 11-12psi for duration | |||||||
Carbonation: | 2.5 volumes | Keg: 11.2 psi @ 38°F | ||||||
Tasting: | wouldn't change a thing...it was the perfect robust "sludge" I give it a 9.5 out of 10 try it yourself!!!!! |
