This beer was brewed using the "extract late" method. Begin with only 4 lbs of liquid malt in your boil when adding your hops. With 15 minutes to go in your boil, add the remaining extract and bring back to a boil for the remaining time. This helps increase your hop utilization.
Hops: | 2 oz. Cascade (6.9% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Kent Goldings (6.5% AA, 15 min.) |
|||||||
Yeast: | Wyeast 1272 American Ale II
Tasting: | Excellent rich, coffee, nut flavor. Best beer I've brewed to date (14th brew). Enjoy |
