Steep: | Steep specialty grains in 4 Liters of water at 67° C for 30 minutes. rinse (sparge) with another liter of hot water. |

Log: | 60 gr oak cubes soaked in 450 ml of bourbon or whiskey. add to secondary and age for one week. Ended up with close to 23 liters in fermetor at OG of 1050. FG was 1013 (before the whiskey was added). ABV around 4.9%. bottled 3L on 26/10/2010 transfered the remaining 19L to glass carboy with 1 cup of Johny Walker and 60 gr oak chips. after one week( 02/02/2010), bottled 19L. |
