Alcohol: 7.8% v/v (6.2% w/w)
Water: Softened well water from my folks house. Irish Hills area. Lower Michigan.
Grain: 6 lb. American 2-row
3 lb. German Munich
2 lb. American crystal 40L
8 oz. American black patent
8 oz. British chocolate
Mash: 75% efficiency
Mash @ 154° for 1 hour.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.053 7 gallons
1 lb. Brown sugar
Add 1 lb of brown sugar at the end of the boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: wyeast 1098 british ale slap pack.
Log: brewing this one march 2.
1 week primary.
2 weeks secondary.
2 week bottle conditioning.
drink april 6.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup of corn sugar boiled in 2 cups of water, brought down to 70° and put directly in bottling bucket.
