Steep: | 30 minutes at 154F Do not squeeze bag, as black patent malt can easily produce astringent and over bitter flavors. | |||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.101 | 3.25 gallons | |||||

Irish Moss added at 15 minutes left of boil. | ||||||||
Hops: | 2 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.) |

Carbonation: | Standard 3/4 cup corn sugar to 16 oz of water boiled for 5 minutes. |
