Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 60L
14 oz. British chocolate
8 oz. British black patent
Steep: crushed grains > 1.5gal water > 155°F for 30min
sparge > kettle
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.137 2.5 gallons
6.6 lb. Light malt extract
8 oz. Brown sugar
1 lb. Light dry malt extract
1/4tsp Irish Moss at 10min remaining
Hops: 2 oz. Cascade (5.9% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (5.9% AA, 45 min.)
.9 oz. Cascade (5.9% AA, 30 min.)
0.5 oz. Liberty (4.7% AA, 15 min.)
0.5 oz. Liberty (aroma)
Yeast: Safale S-04 pitched dry, 10min to moisten, then shake vigorously
