Bitterness: 40 IBU
OG: 1.076 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 7.2% v/v (5.7% w/w)
Water: 1/2 tsp. Gypsum
Grain: 3 lb. British pale
12 oz. Roasted barley
1 lb. Flaked barley
Mash: 70% efficiency
Mashed at 152F for 60 min. Mashout 170F for 10 min.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.076 3 gallons
3 lb. Light malt extract
1/2 tsp. Irish Moss during last 15 min.
Hops: 1.75 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast Irish Ale XL pack.
Log: Ferment at 70F for 14 days. Bottle condition for several months as necessary for smooth taste
Carbonation: 1/4 cup dextrose
Tasting: Waiting to taste after one month in the bottle.
