Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Grain: 16 oz. British crystal 50-60L
5 oz. Roasted barley
12 oz. Carafa III
Steep: In 1.5 gal water steep at 150f for 30 min.
Rinse with 0.5 gal 150f water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.056 5 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
2 oz. Black Treaccle
60 min boil
add 1/2 of LME at start of boil and remainder with 15 min left
add 2 oz of Malt-Dextrin with 15 min left in boil
Add 2 oz of Black treacle with 15 min left
Add 1 tsp Irish moss with 15 min left in boil
4 gal vol left after boil
Hops: 1 oz. Centennial (7.6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (4.5% AA, 10 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1332 Northwest Ale
Log: Dry hop with centennial or East Kent Golding
