Bonehead Oatmeal Stout

A nice malty Oatmeal Stout served on nitrogen. Perfect for after a late fall day spent in pursuit of a big buck by bow and arrow. Cheers!

Bitterness: 27 IBU
OG: 1.060 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Water: 1 Tbs 5.2
Grain: 8 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 60L
4 oz. American crystal 120L
10 oz. American chocolate
8 oz. Roasted barley
8 oz. Flaked oats
Mash: 80% efficiency
Single infusion at 150°F for 60 minutes. Mashout via 4 quart decoction added to 4 quarts boiling water, brought to boil and reintroduced to mash and held for 10 minutes. Continuous sparge with 170°F water to collect 7.5 gallons in the brewpot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.043 7.2 gallons
Hops: .75 oz. Centennial (8.7% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Centennial (8.7% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: Danstar Nottingham
Log: 3 weeks at 62 degrees (no secondary).
Carbonation: Serve on nitro.
