9 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 19 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 7.0% v/v (5.5% w/w)
Grain: 7 lb. American 6-row
2 oz. Belgian Special B
Mash: 40% efficiency
either mash bananas into the boil, (caution, extremely slow runoff can occur if using any small type of screen). or mash seperatly and add to fermenter. I mash 7 ponds of Bananas with 3/4 gallon of water. chopping and mixing for 45 min until a somewhat smooth "pudding" is achieved.
Boil: 45 minutes SG 1.083 4 gallons
7 lb. Banana mash
Hops: 0.84 oz. NZ Wakatu (6.75% AA, 45 min.)
0.84 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: I used a combination of Danstar Nottingham and Windsor ale dry yeast.
