Mash in 5 gallons of water and rest at 152F for 90 minutes. Mash out at 170 for 10 mins. Sparge with 8.5 gallons at 170 for 40 minutes. | ||||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.037 | 12 gallons | |||||
Hops: | 2 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.) 2 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma) |

Yeast: | Use slurry from either American Ale II or use Ringwood Ale Yeast 1187 | |||||||
Log: | Primary Ferment for 5 days Transfer and age for 4 days with finings |

Carbonation: | Prime with 1 1/2 cups DME and condition for 2 weeks before tasting | |||||||
Tasting: | This beer is very similar to Mass Transit Amber Ale that is made by Bristo Brewing Company in Colorado Springs. I altered it alittle bit to make a very drinkable slightly nutty malt flavored amber ale. |
