A great full body Beer. I love it.

Grain: | 4 oz. American chocolate 4 oz. American black patent |

Steep: | I put the grain in two gallons of cold water. I slowly rasied the heat until it reached 160° . I then kept it at that temp for 10 minutes. I then rasied the heat to 170° and removed the pot off the heat and let steep for 30 minutes. |

Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.133 | 2 gallons | |||||
3 lb. 8 oz. Light malt extract 3 lb. 8 oz. Amber malt extract |

Hops: | 1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Northern Brewer (7.8% AA, 60 min.) 1 oz. Cascade (6.8% AA, 15 min.) |

Yeast: | I used liquid California Ale Yeast 001. | |||||||
Log: | After the steeping I removed the grain and then add the extract and brought to a boil. I added the Fuggle and the Northern Brewer at the begining of the boil. With 5 minutes left in the boil I added 1oz of Cascade hops. |

Tasting: | This beer turned out great. If you like full body beers then this is the beer for you. I made the beer a little dark than I wanted but that add to the flavor. |
