By Myself Brew (Pumpkin Ale)

This Pumpkin Ale is my 1st batch of beer brewed by myself.

Beer: By Myself Brew (Pumpkin Ale) Style: American Amber Ale
Type: Extract Size: 5 gallons
Color:
8 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 21 IBU
OG: 1.052 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: Regular tap water was used
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.043 6 gallons
7 lb. Light malt extract
1 can mashed pumpkin 29 oz
1 tsp cloves (ground)
2 tsp all spice
2 cinnamon sticks

Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
1/2 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 2 min.)
Yeast: White Labs Burton Ale #wlp023
Log: Brewed 3/25/01
Boil 7 lbs John Bull light malt extract 60min
1oz. Cascade hops(leaf) aa 6.5% 60min
with 10min left add 1 can pumpkin, 2 tsp cloves, 2 tsp all spice, 2 cinnamon sticks.
Finishing hops 1/2 oz. Cascade hops (leaf) aa 6.5% added last 2min.
1st Fermentation 2wks
2nd " 5wks
3rd " 1wk
Bottled 5/20/01
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar in 1 cup of water, boil let cool and put into wort.
Tasting: Next time I would not let it ferment as long, but with this time
frame it did come out very clear.
