Steep: | Steep grain up to boil, turn off heat, at 40 minutes, turn on low flame until simmer, remove grains, sparge with 170° water. | |||||||
Boil: | 1|15 minutes | SG 1.189 | 1.5 gallons | |||||
3.5 lb. Amber malt extract 1.5 lb. Light dry malt extract 1.5 lb. Dark dry malt extract |

Hops: | 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.) .25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 45 min.) .25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.) .5 oz. Fuggles (aroma) |

Yeast: | Liquid English Ale yeast. | |||||||
Log: | Add yeast when temp. has reached 76°. Try to keep below 78° for 7-10 days.(hard to do in July in Georgia!) Transfer to secondary, let clear for 7-10 days. I always keg 4.5 gallons and bottle a few for the future. | |||||||
Carbonation: | Forced at 30psi, dispense at 7psi | |||||||
Tasting: | I just love malt flavour. Some hops are good, just call me Uncle Malty! |
