Alcohol: 4.6% v/v (3.6% w/w)
Water: - Added a tablespoon of water softener during steeping.
Grain: 1 lb. Belgian biscuit
1 lb. American crystal 60L
Steep: - Added a tablespoon of water softener during steeping.
- Steeped all grains for 60 minutes at 155F in 3 gallons of water.
- Then added malt extract for 60 more minutes at same temperature.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.069 3 gallons
4.84 lb. Light malt extract
- Added 1.0oz of Hallertauer leaf hops at 60 start of boil.
- Added 1.0oz of Hallertauer leaf hops at 30 minutes into boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: - Used 1028 Wyeast liquid double packet. Broke at 2:20PM on 11/13 and pitched it on 11/14 at 5:00PM.
