12 oz. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
4 oz. American chocolate
Steep: Steep grains until boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.097 3 gallons
3.3 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. Light dry malt extract
2 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Willamette (4.5% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: WLP 001 California
Log: 03/30/07 Brewed
04/13/07 Bottled 48 12 oz bottles
OG 1054 FG 1016 or 5.0% ABV
Carbonation: 5 oz priming sugar
Tasting: Very nice Amber with a touch of chocolate. Next time will use more LM to kick up strength.
