Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: Tap Water
Grain: 1 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Flaked corn
Steep: Steep grains in 2 gal of 150 degree water for 30 minutes. Remove grains and rinse with 1/2 gal of 170 degree water. Add resulting liquid to brewpot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.124 2.5 gallons
6.6 lb. Pilsen Light malt extract
1 lb. Rice extract
8 oz. Malto Dextrin
Add Irish Moss last 15 minutes of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Use either California Ale Yeast WLP001 or dry American Ale Yeast SAF US-05
Log: Ferment at 66-69 degrees 1 week, rack and ferment in secondary another 1-2 weeks.
Carbonation: Prime with 3/4 cup corn sugar or with 1-1/4 cup light DME
