Double BS IPA

This was the thrid annual day-before-Thanksgiving brew by Bob, Bob,
and Spencer, the Double BS crew. The goal was a double IPA and
this recipe came out great!

Beer: Double BS IPA Style: India Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.0 gallons
Color:
10 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 77 IBU
OG: 1.077 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 8.4% v/v (6.6% w/w)
Water: None.
Grain: 2 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. American crystal 10L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Steeped the grains in two grain bags for 30 min. at 150°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.097 4 gallons
6 lb. Light dry malt extract
2 lb. Corn sugar
Irish moss was added at the end of the boil.
Hops: 2 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Centennial (aroma)
Yeast: WL British ale yeast.
Carbonation: Bottle Conditioned for 2 weeks.
Tasting: Exceptional hops flavor well balanced against the strength of the ale.
