Bitter Harvest

In an effort to salvage my 2015 hop crop, I played hooky today and brewed with whatever I could save.

Beer: Bitter Harvest Style: India Pale Ale
Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
13 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 122 IBU
OG: 1.069 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 7.1% v/v (5.6% w/w)
Water: Tapwater +3 tablespoons gypsum
Grain: 4 lb. American 2-row
5 lb. American Vienna
3 lb. American Munich
1 lb. Flaked oats
Mash: 75% efficiency
153° for 60 minutes. Fly sparge.
Boil: 120 minutes SG 1.051 7.5 gallons
10 oz. Brown sugar
5 oz. Corn sugar
Add sugars last five minutes.
Hops: 1 oz. US Magnum (12.6% AA, 120 min.)
1 oz. Simcoe (12.7% AA, 30 min.)
2 oz. Ahtanum (4.4% AA, 2 min.)
1 oz. Amarillo (8.2% AA, 2 min.)
2 oz. Centennial (8.3% AA, 2 min.)
12 oz. Homegrown Columbus (wet) (10% AA, 2 min.)
1 oz. Amarillo (aroma)
3 oz. Columbus (aroma)
Yeast: US-05 harvested from prior batch
Log: 66°F for 10 days, dry hop with 1 oz Amarillo, 3 oz Columbus for 10 days, rousing hops every other day.
