Yeast: | EDME Dry | |||||||
Log: | Oops we killed the yeast. We didn't have a backup so we pitched in a bottle of homebrew. Not much activity after 2 days (1 bubble every 15 seconds) so pitched some EDME dry on day 2. After 8 days in the fermenter, the fermentation process was complete.
Carbonation: | 5 oz corn sugar in the bottling bucket
Tasting: | After 3 weeks in the bottle the brew was ready to drink. The beer was quite hoppy but left a nice aftertaste. Great body, nice color. Did a side-by-side with a Bass (probably the world's most popular IPA) and I believe the Ventana IPA had a stronger flavor and finished much smoother. I will brew this one again. |
