Steep: | steep grains 20- 30 minutes in 1 1/2 gallons of boiled water | |||||||

after steeping grains, add extract and 1 oz Chinook Hops. Boil 45 minutes, adding 1 oz Cascade Hops in final 1-2 minutes before end of boil. |

Yeast: | 6 Grams Muntons Dry Yeast. | |||||||
Log: | Place 3 gallons cold water to fermenter. Add mixture from brew pot then top off fermenter to 5 gallons with cold water. Add 1 oz oak chips (after having sanitized in separate pot in same way vegetables are steamed). Add dry yeast by sprinkling into fermenter and stir vigourously with sanitized spoon 2 times. Primary fermentation 7 days in plastic and secondary 7 days in plastic. | |||||||
Carbonation: | Bottled with 5 oz dextrose and carbonated for 4 weeks. | |||||||
Tasting: | Tasted superb. Wouldn't change a thing. Will get better over next few weeks. |
