Tasting: | First sample (1 day after kegging) was slight harsh with a very grapefruit-like bitterness. Dry-hopped with 1/2 ounce Fuggels in the keg, and 2 weeks later, the beer is completely different. Great hop aroma, hazy golden color, and the grapefruit has completely mellowed out to a smooth, well-rounded bitterness. This is a great IPA. The only minor changes I will make in the next batch are: Irish moss, more dry hops (3/4 oz), let it ferment slightly dryer. |
