Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
20 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 54 IBU
OG: 1.058 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: only pure drinking water
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 60L
Steep: steep and squeeze, then squeeze some more
Boil: 62-65 minutes SG 1.048 6 gallons
6 lb. Light dry malt extract
warfloc tablet after 50 min, when adding the 2nd bittering hops
Hops: 1 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 50 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 10 min.)
1 oz. Galena (13% AA, 2 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: 1028 london wyeast
Log: 16 APR 2006- brew
ferment for 4-7 days then rack
dry hop with cascade for 4-7 days in 2nd fermenter
prime with 1.5 cups of light DME
Carbonation: dissolve the 1.5 cups of DME in water and pour into bottling bucket.
Rack 2nd fermenter into the bottling bucket and finished beer should carbonate in due time after bottling.
Tasting: I do not know, I am just an experimenter. I hope this recipe produces a drinkable brew. Good luck. (to me) (and you)
