45 HCU (~20 SRM)
Bitterness: 30 IBU
OG: 1.083 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 8.4% v/v (6.6% w/w)
Water: Add a teaspoon or so of gypsum if you like.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.083 5 gallons
9 lb. Amber LME
1 lb. Belgian Candi Sugar
1 lb. Black Treacle
Add 1 teaspoon of flaked Irish Moss the last 15 minutes of the boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Styrian Goldings (5.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer Mittelfruh (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast #1187 Ringwood
Carbonation: Bottle using corn sugar or force carbonate in a keg.
