Tasting: This beer pours a pleasant reddish-amber with a thick white head. The nose is malty and sweet, with strong notes of caramel and vanilla. Also, hints of cherry subtly tease the nose. Dark fruits and heavy malts tend to dominate the tastebuds. Slightly resinous qualities peek through. The malt backbone does tend toward sweet. The beer is medium in body with a strong carbonated bite, giving it a superior mouthfeel. This all combines to make Bucky Red a an extremely accessible and drinkable beer, but it still has enough character to entertain most beer geeks.
