Brewing This beer for my brother when he gets out of the USMC in september.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
23 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 5.3% v/v (4.2% w/w)
Grain: 2 oz. American Vienna
2 oz. American victory
4 oz. American crystal 60L
4 oz. Belgian Special B
4 oz. Rolled oats
Steep: Steep grains for 30 min in 2 gal of 150° water. Rinse grains with 1 gal of 170° water.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.086 3 gallons
6.6 lb. Briess Golden Light LME
Add one jar of the LME at the begining of the boil and the other jar at the last 10 min of the boil.
Hops: .75 oz. Cluster (7% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Mt. Hood (5.2% AA, 30 min.)
.25 oz. Mt. Hood (aroma)
Yeast: Dan Star Nottingham ale yeast
Log: Primary 7 days. Reck to secondary for 10 days
Carbonation: 1.25 cup of Briess Pilsen Light DME
