Yeast: | Used Wyeast 2565 without a starter. Will use starter next time. |
Log: | Brewed during a warm spell in spring so fermentation temps got into upper 70's for a day until I moved the fermenter into an airconditioned room. No secondary. No lagering. |
Carbonation: | Bottle conditioned. Primed with 3/4cup DME. Moved to refrigerator after 2 weeks at room temp. |
Tasting: | Tasted a bit grainy, harsh and thin going into the bottles, but after 6 weeks, 4 weeks in refrigerator, it's really tastey. Nice kiss of hops in the body with a well balanced finish. Everybody likes it except my 72yo Mother; she prefers stouts. |
