Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.0 gallons
Color:
10 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 14 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 6.1% v/v (4.8% w/w)
Water: up to 1 Tbsp Gypsum
Grain: 0.5 lb. American crystal 10L
0.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Add grain to 2 gal water and bring to 160°. Turn of heat.
Steep 30 minutes. Remove grain bag after draining. Then proceed with Extract addition and boil.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.114 2.5 gallons
6.5 lb. Light malt extract
12 oz. Honey
Add a TSP Irish Moss with 15 min boil remaining
Hops: .5 oz. Hallertauer Hersbrucker (5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Select or Spalt (6.75% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer Hersbrucker (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs California or Yeast 1056
Log: ferments a week, secondary a week
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar
