Rail Trail Pale Ale

A nice summer style APA that's not too heavy ABV, fairly light in body, and just hoppy enough to quench your thirst after a ride down the rail trail.

7 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 63 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: Tapwater with 1 Tbs 5.2 Stabilizer and 1 Tbs gypsum.
Grain: 10 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. American crystal 40L
4 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 80% efficiency
Single infusion at 150°F for 60 minutes. Mashout via 5 quart decoction added to 5 quarts boiling water, brought to boil and reintroduced to mash and held for 10 minutes. Continuous sparge with 170°F water to collect 8.0 gallons in the brewpot
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.042 7.5 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Magnum (14.1% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (7.1% AA, 1 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (8.9% AA, 1 min.)
2 oz. Columbus (17.5% AA, 1 min.)
1 oz. Citra (12.5% AA, 1 min.)
1 oz. Amarillo (8.7% AA, 1 min.)
Yeast: US-05
Log: 10 days primary at 65F.
Carbonation: Keg and force carbonate.
