A Liberty Ale by Anchor clone done my way.

Type: Partial mash Size: 5 gallons
Color:
12 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 72 IBU
OG: 1.068 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 6.8% v/v (5.3% w/w)
Water: 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon gypsum, 1/2 teaspoon Epsom salt
Grain: 2 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Belgian pale
12 oz. American crystal 20L
Mash: 60% efficiency
1 gallon water added to mash to temperature 150 F. Sparge with 1.5 gallons water at 160 degrees. runoff is 2.0 gallons or so.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.061 5.5 gallons
3 lb. 4 oz. Light malt extract
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
5.5 gallons. 3.5 gallons added and started pre sparge. When 180, began adding extracts.
Hops: 1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Safale us-5 Dry Ale yeast.
