More Better Sierra Nevada Clone
This is a modification of a clone recipie I got from my local brew shop. I modified it with an extra ounce of cascade, dry hopped. I think this more accurately represents the Sierra Nevada style, and is more suited to my tastes.

Tasting: | I love this stuff. Good bitterness, faithful to Sierra Nevada. The dry hopping in the primary adds a wonderful nose when opened, but I'm an incurable hophead, so I like 'em that way. It needs about three weeks or so in the bottle to mellow out properly, but every batch I've made of this had died young, so I really have no idea what it would taste like three weeks down the road. It has a noticable citrusy character common with the cascade hops, that should fade in a few weeks. I had a friend of mine, who drinks nothing but sierra nevada, comment very favorably on this beer. |
