Yeast: | I used wyeast 1028 but I am sure there is a better one! It's what I had at the time
Log: | Added ~20g of Northern brewer on racking to secondary (breifly added to boiled water then added straight to the ferm).. It was the only aroma hop I had on hand
Carbonation: | 100g bulk prime (for the 23l) of dextrose
Tasting: | Interesting Ale... The 1028 yeast gives a very clean finish... while some might like it I am not to sure of the mineraly taste though (ESB like) Hops worked well... Norther brewer dry hop added a nice tough even though a bit odd for this style... Colour was a bit darker than the calculation... Overall a very nice beer.. Oh it throws a nasty chill haze though... Next time: *Use a different yeast *Cold condition for some time to try to get rid of the CH... |
