Just another variety to have on hand when my friends from Las Vegas come "home" to Pittsburgh to visit in early July.

Cracked all grain & put in mash pot with 1 gallon water. Raised temp to 140°F and held for 35 minutes. Raised temp to about 155°F with addition of 1/2 gallon of 200°F water and held for 40 minutes. Sparged with 1 gallon of 170°F water. | ||||||||
Boil: | 60 minutes | SG 1.056 | 6 gallons | |||||
6 lb. Light dry malt extract | ||||||||
Added 1/4 oz. Irish Moss powder at 20 minutes left in boil. | ||||||||
Hops: | 1 oz. Columbus (16% AA, 45 min.) 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.) 2 oz. Cascade (aroma) |

Log: | Brewed 4/30/06. Primary ferment will be 7 days. Secondary ferment will be 7-14 days. No dry hopping. | |||||||
Carbonation: | Will bottle with 5 oz. Corn Sugar for priming. |
