Yeast: | 3rd generation White Labs San Francisco Lager harvested from some other previous batch. I used this yeast because of the temperature variation in my basement at this time of year. January 10, 2007. The high temperature outside was only 24F. Stayed that way for 2 weeks.
Log: | Fermented 65F-70F for 1 week. Secondary at 65F-70F for 1 week. Basement temperature is usually a constant 68F-70F but with it being so cold outside the temperature took a dip during the night and tried to recover during the day. Also the furnace is down there so it helped try to keep it warm.
Carbonation: | 5 ounces corn sugar into bottling bucket then into 12 ounce bottles. |
