Tasting: | 11/13/10-Tasted sample at kegging. Tasted great! Flat, of course. Can't wait until it's ready for mass consumption, which should be Thanksgiving day, as long as it's not too harsh with it's fairly high IBUs. 11/21/10- Tapped and sampled. Carbonation was 14 psi with natural carbonation. Sample smelled and tasted great but with a harsh after-taste which is either from the beer being young or because this is the first batch brewed with my wort chiller, which was cleaned in my brew pot, leaving a black ring where the water line was. Possibly from factory oils washed off of the copper, but I hope that's not it. |
