it goes pretty quick, and it's dirt cheap.

Mash: | 70% efficiency | |||||||
Single infusion mash @150-152°F til converted. Sparge to collect about 4 gal, add two gal of water to the kettle to make 6 gal in all. |

Boil: | 120 minutes | SG 1.026 | 6 gallons | |||||
Irish moss for last 15 minutes of boil. Boiled down to 4 gal, had to add 1 gallon of water back to fermenter to make up for it. |

Hops: | .7 oz. Fuggles (5.1% AA, 60 min.) | |||||||
Yeast: | Wyeast Scottish Ale. | |||||||
Log: | Grain was Scottish Golden Promise, best stuff around for this style, IMHO. A bit pricey though. pitched at 75° with about a cup of slurry from last weeks 80/- cooled down to 64° fermentation complete after 3 days. Rack to secondary to clear for 2 weeks @64° Bottled in 16 oz bottles. |

Tasting: | mmm-mmm that's good beer! Tastes bigger than it is. Kinda like Belhaven Export, even though the alcohol content is closer to Coors Light. For 20 cents a pint, you can't beat it. Would really be good from a cask. Anyone care to donate a firkin and a hand pump? |
